PASTRAMI KING BOOTH - Fundraiser
A great thank you to all!
It was a great 2016 at the Pastrami King Booth thanks to the hard work and tremendous effort from all our volunteers. We couldn’t do without your willingness to help, to pitch in, to give of your time, and to take on any task required… all done with a smile and a positive attitude. It all ran so smoothly! Thank you so much.
It was a great family spirit of volunteers whether they worked in the kitchen, prepared spiral spuds, cooked fries, made sandwiches, prepared condiments, washed dishes, or worked outside the kitchen in food sales, called out orders, distributed food, sold beer, restocked food items or cleaned up… all the while chatting with the customers.
There was lots of laughter and chatter as we renewed old friendships from years past or developed new contacts. We definitely had front row seats to gaze at the crowds of people as they strolled by or listen to the nightly musical acts.
I can’t thank those people enough who stepped in doing extra hours when there were volunteer gaps in the schedule, or religious holidays to help out. That is true family! That spirit of giving will always be remembered. Thank you.
A special thank you goes out to Irene Pursel and Darrell Harris who ran the booth to perfection in my absence. A special thank you goes out to Cindy Smith who ran the kitchen without the support of her son, Wally.
In appreciation, please mark your calendar to attend with your family the Thank you BBQ on Sunday, October 23 at 11:30 am. I hope that you will come.
